The Carpenters Union has a labor dispute with The Paras Construction Companies. They do not pay all of their carpentry-craft workers our negotiated area standard wages on all of their projects. We have a duty and a right to protect our craft from the erosion of wages, benefits and working conditions that will result if these substandard pay practices are allowed to continue.
Our lawful but aggressive public information campaign may include highly visible banner displays and distribution of handbills at the jobsite and premises of property owners, developers, and other involved firms. It may also include lawful picketing and public demonstrations. We certainly prefer to work cooperatively with all involved parties rather than to have an adversarial relationship with them.
We have included pictures of a sample of these activities against various substandard employers.
